Happy Holidays!!!

We here at After Dark would like to wish all of you a safe and happy holiday! I hope that everyone has some amazing bits of everything that make this holiday season the best one yet! I am looking forward to spending loads of time with my family and with Sir and getting to eat all of the COOKIES!!! nom nom nom! We had a fantastic Winter Formal, thank you everyone who came out, and the Secret Santa went off without a hitch! I was so pleased with how well it came together! Thank you everyone for making that sooooo painless... I was really worried about it, but everyone got their gifts in on time, and we had tons of people involved! Thank you to our Santas, Sir (Dentin Helios) and Airek, who offered their laps and were with us while I handed out the presents! Speaking of presents, if you haven't gotten your After Dark gift yet, toss on your group tag and head down to the club, on the stage there are two boxes a red one (for the ladies) and a green one (for the gentlemen), just click the boxes and you will get a giftie from the staff at After Dark!

We are taking a break this week, but we'll be back in the new year with fun fun fun! We ARE going to do a New Years Eve bash, even if it's only me and Cherry, so come on by if you're around, I've got a ball to drop, and who knows what other kinds of fun we will get up to!

What a great event! The pictures I took a moment to snap really don't capture the fun we had that night. Rhonin Sir handed out one of his magical toys-turned-spanker and we had ourselves an all out spank war!!! Everyone was spanking everyone and we were FLYING across the floor! It was even better if your AO was off, because then you got faceplanted and scooted across the floor on your face! *laughs* I can gleefully say that this entertained us for three whole hours! It was fantastic, and there was SO much laughter to be had! We had a great new DJ, the lovely Cin, who stepped in for us last minute to fill in a much needed spot. I'm sure some of you remember her from her various DO sightings, if you don't remember her, then hopefully you WILL get to know her, she's a lovely, lovely lady, and I'm very happy to have her as a part of the team!

This week is going to be fabulous! Of course we have the Weekend Wrap Up tomorrow, December, 15th, at 6pm SLT, with DJ Crytical! Then we have After Dark Talks on December 17th, at 7pm SLT. We have a special guest coming in, Mr. Elwyn Lorefield to teach us about Roleplay. Next up is the Winter Formal on Thursday, December 19th, at 7pm SLT. We'll be doing the Secret Santa exchange during the formal, and we have some treats for all the members, so don't worry we haven't left anyone out. As we gear up for the holidays we just want to remind you all to take some time to relax and come hang out with us. The holidays can be super stressful, it can help to find some time to unwind with good friends!

Road Trip!!!

One night a little bit ago, we were sitting around wondering what to do... suuure we could have a party, we could stream some music and get together and dance, but we needed a little cheering up and totally needed something a bit more magical... SO we headed to Sarah's Magical Kingdom... otherwise known as the SL Disneyland! There are awesome rides there, fireworks, they even have the amazing electric parade! It's fantastic what can be done in SL, and Sarah and her team have done an amazing job of putting together a fantastic place to play and explore. So if you have an hour or two to spare and want to go exploring, why not head to SL's version of Disneyland?!? We did!!

Head to the Fence!

Our spanking event went SO well! Mobi pulled through and got us our amazing CaRP system, and I pulled a winter wonderland out of my pocket, our new DJ Mike Slayton, was fantastic... really I couldn't have asked for a better night! There was tons of laughter, much chasing through the maze, and SO MUCH SPANKING!!! I heard a ton of comments about wanting to stay up in the winter space so much that I've decided to leave it up, I'm going to spruce it up a bit, but it's going to be available for everyone to go play in asap. Thanks everyone who came out to play with us, it was a great time, and I'm glad that we all had fun!

Coming up this week is well tomorrow or ummm *checks the time* today *coughs* is the Weekend Wrap Up with DJ Crytical at 6pm SLT, then we have After Dark Talks on Tuesday, December 10th, with "Setting the Scene". Something fun to explore things you could do to put together an awesome RP scenario. Finally we have the "Principal's Office" on Thursday, December 12th at 7pm SLT. There's just something about school girls and rulers that makes my heart skip a beat. I just had a talk with Sir... and yeah, so I might be a bit of a Christmas freak... BUT I love the Holidays, and I couldn't help but be REALLY excited when Airek showed up as Santa... so I thought I'd share it with everyone. Angels and Demons!!

Phew, Angels and Demons, you'd think I'd have a gillion pictures of this great event, but I really don't! We had a great event of Angels and Demons and Sir playing us great music from the darkside and well from the awesome side of light! Thanks so much everyone for coming out and partying with us!

This week we've had a great relaxed Weekend Wrap Up with DJ Crytical, we sat around and played some truthball while Durgan played us some awesome beats. It was great to just chill for a bit and not be so hyped up! I know, ME saying that... but really... it's been a busy weekend for me, and it was nice to relax.

Thursday, December 5th is the spanking event "Head to the Fence"! I'm so excited for this event. I've got a good friend working on a capture system that will allow us to play a game CARP style, and we will get our spank on! Tuesday December 3rd is After Dark Talks: Holiday Ideas! A great talk for everyone in an online relationship, (and some ideas for RL reach) things you can do to show your loved ones you care over the Holidays when everything is busy and you may not have all that much time, and... yeah, it's nice to do special things <3. Then we have the Weekend Wrap Up on December 8th. Don't forget to come out and have fun with us everyone! It's time for me to get crazy with the Holiday Spirit! If you want to join in, you know I'm always game for some extra cheer!

The Thanksgiving box didn't get very full we just had Art Sir telling us how thankful he is for: My wife Elyse, and our friends at AD. I am thankful so many of them help me give Elyse the beautiful wedding she so much deserved.

Well at least HE'S thankful! I'm sure all of you are thankful in your own way, I'm thankful for all of you, I say it all the time, but I'll say it again, thank you everyone for being a part of After Dark, hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Delightful Dollies...

This is going to be another of those long posts... I could do it in two posts, but nah, I'm going to cram it all in! We have been having LOADS of fun at After Dark!! Let me tell you! Our talk on subdrop went really well, let me know if you'd like a copy of the talk, I try and keep all of the talks notecarded for people who can't make them. (Also to look back on them and see where we can improve, or what points we may have missed) Then we had our great event the Delightful Dollies night! It was so great! Airek was a big help when it came time to decorate, I was just at a total creator's block of doom and he just pulled a pretty case out of his hat and I was inspired! Thanks for all your help Airek!

We had so many pretty dollies come out to the event, I was so happy to see them all! I am not sure if you all know, but for oh, a year or so of my SL life I was a dolly. Locked into my EVIL KEY OF DOOM! SO if you see me crumpled on the floor somewhere, be a champ and wind me will you? Thanks in advance, your friendly manager. *laughs*

Friday was Sunshine's birthday, and what do you do for a babygirl that has everything? Well you make her a carnival! So I put together a carnival for Sunshine at the club and invited everyone to come play, but I wanted to keep playing, so I decided to leave everything up for the weekend, it led to some really interesting times on Sunday night for the Weekend Wrap Up with DJ Crytical! We really are a nutty bunch and you all make me laugh so much!

Thanks everyone for coming to play and having fun with us through the week and weekend. Sunshine's birthday was awesome, and everything was just great. Don't miss After Dark Talks: Break ups! on Tuesday November 26th at 7pm SLT, then Thursday, November 28th is Angels and Demons at 7pm SLT with DJ Helios, and finally we have the Weekend Wrap Up on Sunday, December 1st.

That's our regular scheduled programming, but in the middle there we have a special event coming up on Saturday, November 30th at 3pm SLT. Sir will be doing an afternoon of progressive music. It's going to be chill and relaxed and a total music experience. You totally don't want to miss it! More about it to come soon!

Random post of DOOM

I've been hanging on to some pictures and some random bits of conversation here and there, but just haven't had the opportunity to get an extra blog post in because I've just been too busy! Today I have five seconds to rub together and I'm not spending it shopping! *gasp* call a medic someone! Instead, I'm devoting it to you guys! My After Dark members, and I thought I'd start off my chore list with some fun things and bring some smiles to your faces!

Here are some pictures from things that have happened around the club, since, well... we opened pretty much!

So these are some of the first guys we had on the dance poles, and yes that's Kurt Sir in a bathrobe!

He finally stripped down to some boxers and we got a show!

This was a bit before Halloween and we had a minion visit us.... I was SO happy!

And of course, for those of you that were there for this... Sir Boxhead the Magnificent!

Now for my favourite part, bits of conversation that happened... some of these made me laugh SO hard!

Without all of you we wouldn't have nearly as much fun!

What's THIS?!?!? An update on FRIDAY?!!? The DAY AFTER the event?!? Either I'm bored or .... yeah ok I must be bored! *laughs* Thanks to everyone who came out to help us show respect to all the men and women who fight for our FREEDOM! It was a great event and we all had a great time!

Sir got to take out all His fun toys, His tank (M1A2 Abrams main battle tank) an F/A- 18 Hornet and an F-16C Falcon! We also had some cannons out to take out the bad guys, (ok really I just liked having the cannons out to set them off because I like blowing shit up!).

It was a great event and DJ Helios is really getting into the swing of things! Thanks again to everyone for coming out!

The Cat's Meow

So, someone pointed out that I was running a bit late with my post and I laughed... I guess writing the Thursday post on the following Thursday IS a bit late!

So here's the week's re-cap! We had The Cat's Meow, and it was a fantastic event! What a throw-back to my years and years as a neko! I got to dig out all my old toys and we all played on them! Durgan's exclamation when he seen the mouse train "I haven't seen that in years" was quite true, I haven't dug my toys out in years, and it was SO much fun to play on them again!

We had so many pretty kitties romping around all day, purring and getting pet, what a great event and thank you to everyone who came out to party with us!

We had a great Weekend Wrap Up with DJ Crytical! These Sunday events are just awesome fun, and a great way to cap off the weekend's events. You don't want to miss the next one on Sunday, November 17th at 6pm SLT.

Tuesday was a great After Dark Talks on Subspace. I am having a LOT of fun hosting these chats. There's been some great participation and a lot of great ideas passed around. Next Tuesday we're going to talk about Subdrop and effective coping strategies. You don't want to miss it! (Tuesday November 19th at 7pm SLT)

Ok so I love Halloween... a little... alright, a lot! It was a great big awesome party! We had SO much fun building the spooky graveyard for you guys, and as the first "big build" since we built the club, I think it was very much a success!

With ghosts and ghouls roaming about, zombies ready to drag you into their zompy, slimey graves... we set the stage for a night of fearsome fun! DJ Denali delivered the spooktacular tunes in abundance and we rocked the night away!

About halfway through we called the secret committee together and voted on the best costumes for male and female, there were SO many amazing costumes to choose from, we finally settled on Alex Sir for best male with his Heffner outfit ... totally gave him points for his "accessories" the bunnies he came with! Good job girls! The best outfit for female went to Avia for her carousel costume! How awesome was it?!? Runners up male and female were Venerable Sir with his Alien costume and Kat with her lovely unicorn of doom. Well done everyone who came out and had fun with us! You all looked amazing!
